Review of the Meson - A Balanced Perspective on Value and ComfortDuring my recent stay at the Meson, nestled in the lively heart of Guanajuato, I appreciated its blend of basic comfort and strategic location. Opting for a room with what was advertised as a balcony turned out to be a slight misnomer; it was essentially a large window overlooking a charming, albeit noisy, alleyway. While the essentials were covered-cleanliness was commendable, and amenities such as free toiletries and luggage storage were readily available-I found myself wishing for a few more luxuries. There was no air conditioning or television. Attentive staff were on-hand, assisting with airport shuttle arrangements and local transportation inquiries. Navigating the city was easy, with numerous shops and attractions within walking distance. The breakfast, while simple with delightful pan dulce, did lack a more robust coffee option that I would have missed dearly. The Meson represents a pragmatic choice for travelers seeking affordability in a bustling urban setting, yet I would advise those craving extensive amenities to consider slight upgrades elsewhere. Comfort meets value here, but those with higher expectations may benefit from exploring additional options.
